Glenn De Mattia
I attended art school in New Jersey. My studies focused on fine arts such as painting and sculpture, with an emphasis on art therapy. After two years I transferred to the San Francisco Art Institute where I finished my formal education.
After much searching and discovering here in San Francisco, I enrolled in cosmetology school where I received an excellent foundation for hair design. I was fortunate to have a talented instructor, a Vidal Sassoon educator, who took me under her wing. After graduation I decided to continue developing my skills as an assistant in a very busy and exciting salon.
Three years later I created Headlights Hair Studio on Church Street in Noe Valley. The business has flourished ever since. We have been in what is now the heart of Hayes Valley for nearly 15 years, and my passion for hair is unchanged, if not more profound. It is greatly rewarding to still be so excited and inspired by both my clients and my very talented associates.
